Our Philosophy

Inspire Early Learning centre aims to provide a high standard of education and care, in a safe, nurturing, all-inclusive environment, that values respect for ourselves, each other and the environment.

We recognise that children learn through play and we respect each child’s unique learning journey. We endeavour to offer a balance between free play and a variety of planned experiences to enable our children to be “competent and confident learners and communicators, healthy in mind, body and spirit, secure in their sense of belonging and in the knowledge that they make a valued contribution to society”

Guided by the principles of Te Whariki, we encourage our children to grow learning dispositions that scaffold them towards future learning. We endeavour to provide our children opportunities to grow their skills in literacy, numeracy and science. Social and emotional literacy is part of our daily programme.

We recognise the importance of our learning environment. They are specifically designed as provocations to promote curiosity, discovery, encourage questions, support children’s thinking, collaboration and add fun to their learning.

Inspire Early Learning Centre reflects the unique place of Maori as Tangata whenua and promotes the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi. We value and respect our cultural diversity. We encourage our staff, children and families/whanau to share their culture, language and heritage within our community.

We value our families/whanau’s contribution in their children’s learning and respect their aspirations. We promote a respectful and reciprocal relationship to encourage participation in children’s learning journey by having an open door policy and open communication.

We are committed to providing and promoting a sustainable environment and encourage our children to respect their environment and the world around them. We value our teachers and staff, and are committed to support their professional development and growth.
