Vision

Embracing Cultural Diversity

New Zealand is a culturally diverse society and we work hard to ensure that diversity is reflected, encouraged, and nurtured in our Centre. This is achieved through our respect and implementation of Te Tiriti O Waitangi and Tikanga Maori. Children can also speak their home language and are encouraged to continue with home-learned cultural practices while in the Centre. Each day, the use of Te Reo Maori is encouraged.

Family-Oriented

We want your family and whanau to be involved in your child’s experience of being in the Centre, so we have an open-door policy. We want you to participate, never feeling you are detached from the process. After all, it is an important time in your child’s life and they will achieve more if you are by their side.

In addition, our culture is one of respect for everyone involved including the children as well as teachers and parents.

Helping Children Learn

At Inspire Early Learning Centre, we don’t just teach children. Instead, our role is to help the children who attend our centre to learn. After all, all children are capable and competent learners, regardless of ability. This means they can grow and develop new knowledge and skills if they are given that right support, activities, and tools.

We nurture and encourage this learning by providing your child with a safe, comfortable, and familiar environment. We will build a relationship with your child through play and positive interaction, while encouraging him/her to explore and improve.

Te Whariki

Te Whariki is the established early childhood curriculum in New Zealand. We base our teaching and learning activities on this curriculum to ensure your child has the knowledge and abilities necessary to move to the next stage of education.

In addition, we follow the Code of Professional Responsibility and Standards for the Teaching Profession. We are also firm believers in the Reggio Emilia approach to education. This means we respect the rights of the children in our centre while taking our role as learning facilitators seriously.
